Bathroom fixtures: water-efficient options
When it came time to choose fixtures for the bathroom, my starting point was KOHLER. First reason because they are known for both style and quality, but also I was delighted to discover that they are committed to sustainability. They have info on their overall corporate stewardship practices which is fantastic (you can read about here) but what I really like is that they include sustainability all across their website to help customers make more informed purchasing decisions.
When it comes to the bathroom, the main thing to look for is water efficient products. Oftentimes they are labeled as low-flow or Water Sense, which is an EPA program that certifies the water efficiency and performance of products. This is especially important in places like Southern California where we are in the midst of a drought. You can even get rebates for purchasing water efficient products, and hey, saving money and water at the same time? I'm game!
Below is a look at the product sustainability info & search function on the KOHLER website that helps you easily find water efficient products. I also included a round up of some of the products we ended up choosing for our bathroom including the Purist faucet, Purist hand shower kit, San Souci toilet, Archer alcove tub.
So I realize it might seem like I'm a KOHLER spokesperson, but honestly I'm not! I just truly believe in rewarding responsible companies that provide information to make it easy for their customers to make decisions that are better for the environment!
